30.09. Harvest Festival

Worship of Thor, Sif and Frey. Celebrated for 3 days following and in connection with Wodanstag.
The days are getting shorter and the god of light Baldr is sinking into the underworld to Hel. As a sacrifice to our gods we leave the last apple hanging on the tree.
Traditionally we sacrifice a boar and brew Wodelsbeer. We weave a wreath from the last sheaves of grain in the field and hang it in our house.

• Thor / Donar thunder god - god of weather and thunderstorms, especially for sailors and farmers
• Sif - goddess of fertility, her golden hair symbolizes the ripe grain. She is Thor's wife.
• Frey - god of fertility
