Neben der Lebenswichtigen Rentierzucht fertigen Sie auch bis heute noch diese wunderschönen Lederarmbänder. Damit pflegen Sie ein großes Stück Ihrer jahrhunderte alten Volkskunst. Zur Wikingerzeit hatten die Saami häufig kriegerische Auseinandersetzungen mit den Wikingern. Später allerdings blühten auch die Handelsbeziehungen mit den Nordmännern, bei denen wichtige Waren in den kargen Gebieten des Nordens getauscht wurden.
Wir freuen uns, Ihnen diese wunderschönen Lederbänder anbieten zu können, die sich in den letzten 1000 Jahren nur wenig verändert haben. Diese Volkskunst wird in mühseliger Handarbeit gefertigt. Die Armbänder werden wie damals aus weichem Ziegenleder hergestellt und dann mit veredelten Messingdraht verflochten. Der messingdraht wurde durch versilbern oder durch 9 karätiges Gold veredelt. Zum verschließen des Armbandes wurde ein Knopf weißen Rinderknochen angenäht.
